Sainsbury's School Games

Castle Batch are part of the Sainsbury's School Games which encourages young people to take part in competitive sport.  Go to www.yourschoolgames.com/, then click on 'Your School'.  On the right hand side there is a link that says 'Find your school page'.  We regularly add blogs that share some of the competitive events that the children have been involved in.

Our school recently achieved the Bronze Award from Sainsbury's School Games. This is in recognition of our commitment to and development of competition, school sport and physical education.  We sent teams to compete in a variety of sporting events including football, gymnastics, cricket, tag rugby, tennis, cross-country, dance and swimming. We held a KS1 Festival of Sport as well as our Olympic Day and Sports Day. This year we aim to add extra opportunities in boccia, kurling and netball. Staff have opportunities to further their own professional development through the use of external coaches and our PE coordinators.
