Fundraising 2015-16

We are very lucky to have such a supportive group of pupils and families that raise an incredible amount of money for charities throughout the year.  We choose a nominated charity to support for the year and the nominated charity for 2015-2016 is Action Duchenne.

This is a fantastic charity that helps people affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.  By supporting this charity we are not only donating to a worthy cause but we are also educating our children on the disease.

We will still support the nationally recognised charity events such as Macmillan Coffee Morning, Red Nose Day and Children in Need and will also be raising funds for our school with Friends of Castle Batch.  This page will keep you updated on the funds raised.

Macmillan Coffee Morning - What a fantastic amount of cakes given to the school for everyone to enjoy - thank you to all that came and to everyone who contribute to such a worthy cause.  We raised a £100 more than last year - thank you! £319.70
Disco - A great time for all the children to have fun together and the theme was Neon!  We had some great outfits and the children had a fantastic time and were very well behaved.  Thanks to everyone involved. £553.18
Action Duchenne - Dress in Blue.  This is our charity we are supporting this year and we thought a dress down day was a good way to launch the support. £360.00
Christmas Film Night - the children enjoyed a variety of films - Arthur Christmas, Rise of the Guardians and The Nativity.  There were all extremely well behaved.  Thanks to the helpers that made the event a success, it was nice to see so many new faces! £234.00
Christmas Fair - this year we tried something new and held our fair straight after school on the Friday.  It was a huge success and we are very thankful the event was supported so well. Thank you to all who was involved in such a big event to organise. £1,927.03
Clothes Drive - we collected any unwanted clothes to raise cash for the school £
KS1 Night Walk - the night walk was a new event last year and was another success for this year as well, and the weather was kind to us!  The children enjoyed hunting for their clues and enjoyed a hot chocolate and winning treat at the end. £
Valentines Disco - the children danced the night away to some good party music to the theme of valentine!  Thank you to everyone involved. £377.52
