Breakfast Club is part of Castle Batch's wrap around care service available for all children throughout our academy.  Research has shown that a child's capacity to learn is linked to their personal wellbeing and this includes hunger levels!  Breakfast is widely recognised as being the most important meal of the day. 

What you need to know:-

Where is Breakfast Club held?

The club is held in our school Atrium and accessed via the Rawlins Avenue gate entrance.

What time can I bring my child?

The club opens at 7.30 am, children to be in by 8.15am to ensure they have time to eat breakfast before the school day.

Do I need to book and what does it cost?

You do need to book. You can book using Weduc/sQuid. The cost is £4.50 per child which must be paid in advance via parentpay. Please submit a refund request if you do not require the space any further. 

Staffing at the club?

The club is managed by our Play Leader and run day to day by members of our experienced staff. All of our staff hold Level 2 Food Hygiene certificates and a First Aid trained member is on site at all times.

What do the children eat?

There is a variety of cereal, toast (including different toppings), fruit and a choice of drinks – water, sugar free squash and milk.

What do the children do?

After they finish breakfast they have the chance to play with their friends and socialise with other peer groups, including playing board games, colouring, physical activities, managed computer time and weather permitting outside play from 8.15 am.  Please view our photo gallery.

What happens at the start of school?

All Key Stage 1 children are accompanied to their classrooms and Key Stage 2 make their way to their classes independently.
